Job Title : Firmware/Software Verification Engineer Job Duties : Develop module/unit/"white box" tests of firmware or software code,Develop functional tests for embedded real-time firmware,Generate test cases based on requirements (or usage scenarios),Develop and document manual tests,Execute tests and analyze test results,Review tests and test results. Document and resolve issues.,Write and/or review plans, specifications and reports that comply with defined practices and protocols.
Skill Sets: C, C++, Labview Experience: Greater than 5 Years Oral Communication: Excellent Verification Tool exposure/proficiency: test harnesses, system stimulators, hardware debuggers Written Communication: Excellent Skills Required •Review and understand software requirements and specifications documentation for glucose management systems and devices. •Work with firmware engineers to write verification test specifications contains test procedures. •Perform product testing pursuant to each SW release during product development cycles. •Write SW problem/issue reports as needed. •Work with firmware engineers to resolve issues reported during testing. •Responsible for writing, updating, and maintaining software test requirements and specifications, as well as whitebox test code as needed. •Proficiently use essential software applications necessary for the job (defect tracking system, software development environment, MS-Office applications, MS-Outlook email). Preferred qualifications: •Basic understanding of software engineering methodologies. •Experience in programming: Assembly, C, C++ •Experience in code manipulation, and white box, verification testing. •Familiarity with medical product development, design control process and quality system or regulatory environments (IS0 9001,ISO 13485,EN 46001 standards and the basic Medical Device Directives requirements).
