*Title: Quality Assurance Tester* *Location: Dallas, TX* *Duration: 6+ months* *Client: Texas Utilities Company* *** Must be LOCALS* *** Must have excellent comm. skills* *** Need at least 2 references from the recent project (client/contact person/designation/tel./email)* This candidate will support the certification, deployment, and production maintenance of the Energy 360 product. The candidate will be required to develop and execute detailed test plans, troubleshoot production and customer issues, support production deployment of new customer or new software. The candidate will be expected to execute manual test cases and also automate the testing. The support function may require the candidate to be on-call periodically. Must be capable of working effectively in distributed, multicultural development environments. Must meet the following requirements: o 3 years of strong test development and execution experience. o 3 years of developing use cases and test cases for web based data management applications. o 1 years of test automation of web based data analytics applications. o Experience building tools for data validation or process and task automation. o Demonstrable experience with various scripting languages such as python, bash, TCL/TK, or Perl on both Linux/Unix and Windows environments. o Strong understanding of internet and web 2.0 technologies such as HTML, AJAX, REST, SOA, Web Services, PHP. o Knowledge of basic database design principles and techniques. o Demonstrable experience working with any database system such as Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, etc. and fluent with PL/SQL. o Experience working with open source applications and technologies. Contribution to open source community is a plus. o Solid understanding of object oriented programming techniques. o Solid understanding of data modeling technologies and experience working with large and complex data models is required. o Good understanding of ticketing and bug tracking systems, version control systems like subversion and continuous build environments.
