 This position is needed to support critical business functions through the
design, development, integration, implementation, and maintenance of USAC’s
application systems. This includes investigation and resolution of
production issues, development and testing of systems enhancements, and
participation in USAC applications systems upgrades and infrastructure
management.

 *SCOPE OF WORK:*

 Perform software development and maintenance tasks assigned under the
guidance of USAC management. These tasks may include but are not limited to:

 ·         Production support of application systems.

o   Correct issues reported in production system.

o   Work with USAC technical staff, including business system analyst, QA,
network engineers, and database administrators, to analyze and improve
system performance.

o   Use USAC’s version control system, Team Foundation Services, to manage
software code.

o   Update design documentation, if required as part of correcting
production issues.

o   Adhere to USAC’s standard Software Development Life Cycle.

·         Development and implementation of new business functionality.

o   Research, evaluate and recommend technical solutions including COTS and
open-source solutions.

o   Develop technical design based upon requirements specifications.

o   Develop software applications, using the tools that fulfill the
requirements specifications and conform to the technical design.

o   Perform unit-level testing of developed software applications.

o   Correct issues found during system and user acceptance testing.

o   Create other technical documentation, including user and administrator
guides and configuration management plans.

o   Use USAC’s version control system, Team Foundation Services to manage
software code.

·         Other tasks as assigned by USAC management.

 *REQUIRED SKILL-SET AND EXPERIENCE:*

 Proposed resource should possess a minimum of ten (10) years of industry
experience and a minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in most
of the following technologies:



·         ASP.NET, C#, XML, .NET Framework, AJAX, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS,
JQuery

·         T-SQL/SQL Server, Oracle,  RDBMS concepts and DB design

·         Application development (including web and internet), software
engineering, design patterns, and application security concepts

·         Classic ASP, WebServices, TDD as well as software requirements
and specifications, and can easily QA/QC if needed

·         Object oriented design and architecture as well MVC, Entity
framework, and COTS configuration and implementation

·         Experience with creating technical documentation

·         Experience with agile software development such as SCRUM and XP
