Location: Cary, NC – willing to travel Charlotte, NC

Duration: 6+ Months



Responsibilities:-

v  Adhering to SLAs

v  Mentoring / Training Team Members

v  Handling tickets / requests

v  Perform root cause analysis

v  Troubleshooting technical issues

v  Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to

v  Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation,
configuration and migration

v  Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA

v  Understanding of Multi-geo support environment

v  Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment

v  Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction

v  Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members

v  Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level

v  Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time

v  Ready for 24 X 7 operations support



Technical Requirements

v  3rd Party Vendor Support and Interaction(including TAR and OS) and can
handle Client Independently

v  Should be able to diagnose clustered environment

v  Should be able to perform database reorganization

v  Usage of AWR and ADDM, translate this and suggest the improvement based
on this

v  Recommend and Review Backup and Recovery Strategies using RMAN or tools.

v  Knowledge of Advanced Replication, Queuing and Streams.

v  Hands on experience of configuration & administration of Oracle High
Availability Solutions.

v  Good Working experience of Installation & administration of RAC 9i, 10g
,11g (Real Application Clusters).

v  Flash Recovery Features & Flash back query.

v  Having experience of DR setup through various synch methods.

v  Designing strategy towards Capacity Management(Growth) for DB tracks.

v  Good hands on in Database migrations & transformations tasks

v  Knowledge about the Exadata storage



Soft Skills

v  Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)

v  Good documentation skills

v  Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio)

v  Should have a great customer handling skills

v  Able to handle unforeseen situations

v  High level of acceptance

v  Can drive HCL’s value and its methodology



Other Skills / Experience

v  Worked on Production systems

v  Datacenter understanding

v  Experience with Database Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching

v  Knowledge of Data warehousing and Other Technologies(RDBMS)

v  Knowledge of Data Guard / Gateways

v  Storage Management Techniques

v  Experience on Sun / Veritas / Microsoft Cluster



Certification requirements

OCP(Essential) ,OCE( Desired)
