*Job Description:*

*About the Team*

We are the Enterprise Apps team. With responsibility over building and
supporting various enterprise applications including Order Management,
Customer Order Routing, Distributed Fulfillment, Shipping, Warehouse
Management, Accounts Payable, Purchase Orders and Inventory Control, we are
a significant part of customer experience. We build out new features and
experiences on the Microsoft .NET technology stack that directly affect our
ability to provide the best in class customer experience. We are looking to
expand our team to build a set of key applications and systems that will
allow us to continue our rapid growth. *We operate in a fast-paced
environment using agile methodology and lightweight SOA design patterns*.
We encourage innovation and expect developers to take a high level of
ownership throughout the software life cycle.

*Qualifications/Here’s who we’re looking for*

§ You’re the type of person who thrives on taking care of things the right
way the first time. You excel at taking a project from scoping requirements
to design, coding and actual launch of the project.

§ When you notice a bug or an issue, you take it upon yourself to
investigate and come up with an efficient and scalable solution.

§ When you say “I’ll take care of it” we know it’ll be done well.

§ You love working on Microsoft technologies & frameworks like SQL
Server, *ASP.NET
MVC, WCF, Entity Framework and ASP.NET
Web API* but you get excited when you hear a hallway conversation about
Elastic Search, Docker or Redis.

§ You are passionate about the virtues of writing SOLID code and can
passionately explain the difference between Behavior Driven Development and
Test Driven Development to a junior developer.

§ You have a strong desire to automate everything.

§ You hate hearing the words “It has always been done this way” and are
curious about why things are done the way they are today.

§ You like contributing to open source projects and believe that reading
other people’s code widens your perspective and skillset.

§ You have your stylistic preferences when it comes to code but understand
the discipline it takes to keep the source code maintainable.

§ You love troubleshooting issues and know what it takes to get that code
you wrote to Production if the Zombie apocalypse hits and the rest of the
team is unavailable.

*Experience is important.* We’re looking for someone who’s worked with
Microsoft Technologies in the roles of Senior Software Engineer, Technical
Lead or Solution Architect in a solution focused fast paced team. You
should consider yourself a pro – this is not a job for first timers or
interns.

*Responsibilities*

If you were working for us, here are some of the things you would have done
last week

§ Build the new APIs required for Customer Orders and Shipping.

§ Create Behavior Driven Tests using Specflow for Customer Orders API.

§ Refactor the Shipping Carrier Options module to use the decorator
pattern. It also now supports a fluent API.

§ Provide estimates for the new Order Management System.

§ Work with the Shipping Carrier Tech Support to resolve the issue with
the transmission of end of day manifest files.

§ Migrate queuing from a table based system to TIBCO EMS.

§ Research rule engines and recommended the approach for the new Purchase
Order routing engine.

§ Attend the story boarding session for the new Invoicing workflow that
will speed up the Accounts Payable process.

§ Provide knowledge transfer to QA on the requirements for the new
Invoicing workflow.

§ Help the new developers get setup with their Behavior Driven Tests.

§ Work with the DevOps and Platform team to troubleshoot the issue of
missing log data in the ElasticSearch cluster.

§ Update hours spent working on various cards in JIRA and closed out your
cards for the sprint.

§ Provide the update on the status of the current sprint to Stakeholders
based on the Sprint Burndown chart in JIRA.

§ Conduct a brown bag session for the team on using Vagrant VMs as Dev
Sandboxes.

§ Visit the Fulfillment Center for a Technical Design session with the WMS
Analysts.

*Here are some other things you might do*

§ Handle any bugs escalated by Service Desk and Tier 2 support.

§ Travel to HQ at Seattle and/or other Fulfillment Center locations for
requirements definition and technical design sessions.

§ Provide on-call support and utilize Pager Duty for creating and updating
support schedules.

§ Fill in on some basic support tasks if the team is shorthanded.

 *Thanks and Regards*
