Should understand how to design a user-friendly UI. Database is not as important. Should also have solid QA skills and TFS experience. Programmer Analyst with 4+yrs experience · Responsible for designing, developing and supporting web applications in VB.NET. The Division uses several web applications to manage the various aspects of the program. Project duties will be to work as a programmer analyst and part of a team to develop and maintain applications in a Microsoft environment using web tools and techniques. · Experience with DB2 and Oracle · Project duties will also include analysis, design, coding, testing, quality assurance, development of user documentation, training materials and help screens. · This position requires knowledge of and experience with systems analysis and multi-layered object oriented design techniques; estimates for analysis, design, programming, testing and implementation tasks; and methods used to develop, install and maintain large complex web and mainframe data information systems and also require knowledge methods to create detailed project/system plans. · Successful candidates must have proven experience in systems development and maintenance activities, emphasizing technical architecture analysis and design, project planning and management and also including construction, testing and debugging, documentation, and effective written and verbal communications. Requires knowledge of and experience with: Technical Microsoft Web applications development software, tools and environment such as Visual Basic, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Visual Studio/Interdev, JAVA Script, Web Services, Store Procedures, and HTML in a Microsoft Web development environment using components such as IIS, COM+, DB2 Connect, Visual SourceSafe, Team Foundation Server and interfacing with COBOL, CICS programs utilizing DB2 and Oracle Relational Database.
