Responsibilities*:*



·        Install / Upgrade / Configure/Maintain PowerCenter 7.x/8.x
instances on UNIX and Linux servers.

·        Interact with UNIX and Database Administrators to create and
maintain each PowerCenter instance.

·        Configure Database and ODBC connectivity to various source/target
databases.

·        Install / Configure PowerConnect for JMS /Web Services and others
as required

·        Independently perform complex troubleshooting, root-cause analysis,
solution development

·        Manage and administer system performance including on-going
optimization and tuning of Informatica environment
Create and manage users, groups and folders. Ensure appropriate privileges
are assigned to the different users.

·        Interact with end users to resolve issues with Informatica
PowerCenter

·        Coordinate with Informatica support for patches and bug fixes.

·        Performance tuning covering the areas of: session, source, target
mappings

·        Support installation and maintenance of the Metadata Reporter and
PowerConnect
Support installation and maintenance of new PowerCenter features

·        Perform project code deployment between environments using the
Automated SCM Deploy toolset.

·        Help new Informatica projects get started.

·        Willing to dedicate a portion of time with other Products and
Technologies - all team members will be cross-trained to provide support
capabilities for CS enterprise solutions for Business Objects and MetaMatrix
(EII) offerings.

·        Some shift work is required to support the global user base.

·        Weekend cover, on a rotation basis, will also be required.

This position is for a senior Informatica Administrator/Support resource.
This is* **not* a Developer position, but having Informatica (PowerCenter)
development exposure/experience is a plus. This position is also for a
long-term need, and not just a 6 month/1 year assignment. Candidates with a
desire for a long term assignment, with the potential for conversion to
employee, are the type of people I am looking for.

The candidate will be part of a global team, half in Raleigh, the other half
in Singapore. The team is responsible for administering to a global shared
service infrastructure with installations in NY, London and Singapore. Our
user base consists of approximately 40 project teams across IT, and we work
closely with these teams to insure best practices are followed.

Candidates should be strong on the UNIX/Linux platform, highly motivated and
self-sufficient. Project level activities will also be assigned to this
resource so  there will be a variety of activities for the candidate to
participate in.
