*Platform: Sun One App Server, Oracle 10g, J2EE using Spring, Business
Objects Enterprise, Crystal Reports, Sun's Identity and Access Manager.
HTML, JSP, XML, Java Beans, Servlets and AJAX.*
Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years
Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study
Role Description: Under the direction of an LWD DIT project manager, the
programmer will probably perform the duties of a team lead, responsible for
requirements analysis, design, development, testing and documentation of
application code as it relates to backend processing at the database level.
In this capacity they may provide guidance to junior level developers on the
team in best practices, coding and testing techniques and review of same.
he programmer will be required to:
- Have extensive experience in design and development of Oracle applications
- Have extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL
- Review Use Cases and other functional artifacts
- Work with the business and technical team leads to interpret and elaborate
requirements artifacts into design specifications
- Prepare Specification Documents for application development
- Coordinate work efforts with other team members
- Prepare time estimates for project related tasks and track own work
schedule
- Prepare status reports for Project Lead
- Identify and track issues, risks, action items and their resolution
- Be knowledgeable of current industry standards and best practices for
development using PL SQL
- Facilitate the transfer of knowledge of the application to LWD programmers
