This position requires that the candidate is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will reflect a mix of strong architectural vision, technical proficiency, application maintenance ownership, and the ability to work effectively with other business and technology personnel and internal customers to provide very responsive support to this global application. This position will develop new software modules, design and implement unit tests, and support enterprise application solutions. DETAILED RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: • Technical expert in Microsoft SQL Server development • Develop advanced design, coding, and testing of technical solutions using MS SQL Server, writing stored procedures within the database environments • Create and maintain indexes, views, triggers, functions, stored procedures, agent jobs and schedules. • Enhance performance in the Applications environment. Tuning code, reviewing table and applying indexes were needed. • Database management/monitoring, query performance tuning and optimization. • Identify system deficiencies and recommends solutions, taking a proactive approach to software development • Meet service level agreements for production support response and resolution. • Follow documentation, software development methodology, version control and testing, and migration standards. • Develop a cooperative environment that fosters knowledge sharing. • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to others in areas of expertise. • Creating and / or optimizing Store Procedures to be executed against a high volume, high availability • Constructed and optimized queries for high volume, high availability, and real time deployments. • Automation of administrative tasks. • Assist team with DBA support when needed. • Performs all required administrative functions necessary to the position. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Skills: • Proficiency with TSQL, MS SQL Server 2008 and above • Proficiency of relational database concepts (including tables, views, indexes, table spaces etc.). • Experience in Relational and Dimensional Modeling • Complete mastery of Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and the translation of business requirements. • Ability to identify system impact for small and large scale initiatives. • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines. • Ability to identify system impact for small and large scale initiatives. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to effectively manage multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines. • Ability to effectively manage implementation of enhancements, change requests, and releases across multiple, competing, high-priority projects with varying deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills and customer and results orientation and ability to achieve results under limited direction. • Ability to quickly learn other applications such as change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management.
