The contract duration is 3 to 12 months, travel may be allowed short
term, however we expect a solid 4 days on site at client campus in
Factoria/Bellevue. No t-mobile billing will start after resource has a
working vendor provided PC along with all necessary software including
modeling tools, (ER studio or power designer preferred)
Detailed JD
Develops data models to meet the needs of the organization's
information systems. Manages the flow of information between departments
through the use of relational databases. Maintains data integrity by
working to eliminate redundancy. Stays informed of the ways the
organization uses its data. May require a bachelor's degree in a related
area and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular
field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
required. May lead and direct the work of others. Typically reports to a
manager.
The Data Modeler is primarily responsible for designing, specifying and
implementing data elements related to BI and Information Management. You
will also work with development to ensure that all elements are coherently
and properly implemented, including aspects of testing and validation. The
Data Modeler will be involved in all aspects of data Architecting and
creating and maintaining the logical and physical data model of various
enterprise database and data warehouse systems with an emphasis on Teradata
MPP platform. The scope includes analyzing associated business rules and
process models, analyzing legacy and other related logical and physical
models and collaborating with subject matter experts.
