Couchbase is a plus: years Responsibilities: The Senior Software Engineer is a key member of the development team and will design/develop a highly scalable digital coupon platform. This position will have the opportunity to help build and deliver our product line in an agile development environment. 1. Work closely with product managers and project/account managers to understand the requirements and implement while collaborating with other engineering team members to ensure solutions match the architectural vision 2. Collaborate with creative professionals, and other members of the project team in requirements specifications, development, testing, and launch planning 3. Work closely with other engineering team members to produce technical design documentation and to ensure the code follows a good coding standard 4. Assist in the development and maintenance of a scalable, web-based platform for hosting a variety of websites for clients supporting online loyalty programs 5. Assist in the development and maintenance of custom digital couponing platform used for loading coupons directly to loyalty cards for redemption at point of sale 6. Mentor other team members and review code and provide constructive feedback Requirements: 1. 6+ years of commercial server-side development experience using J2EE 2. In-depth understanding of standard Internet infrastructure, protocols and technologies 3. Working experience in Servlets, EJBs, JAX-RS, JMS, XML, JSON, HTML, JavaScript, Couchbase and/or Oracle Database 4. Experience in building Web Service applications using Service Oriented Architecture (SOAP and REST) 5. Working experience with revision control software such as CVS or SVN 6. Unix/Linux familiarity 7. BS Computer Science or equivalent 8. Exposure to Amazon cloud environment 9. Working experience with JBoss Application Server 7+ 10.
