A strong team player with excellent communication skills on a major project is required. NOT a dba/developer role. Contract SQL Server DBA requirements. Following experience mandatory · 7 + yrs Core SQL Server Production DBA · Windows 2008 multi-node clustering. · Monitoring and tuning SQL Server performance with multiple tools including Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler, and Index Tuning · Setting up cluster, replication, log shipping, DR testing and planning, capacity planning. · Security setup: database, active directory and windows level. · Performance Tuning, Query Optimization · Connectivity and Database Consistency Checks using DBCC Utilities. · Excellent analytical and debugging skills Replication expertise is key to this role Interview process: phone screen by current SQL Server DBAs, followed by in person interview Bill rate: dependent on experience Length of contract: 3-4 months initially, with possibility of longer.
