SQL Server DBA w/ Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 Local to TX 6+ Months Contract
Skills: Active Directory SQL SQL Server Windows Server 2008 R2 Our ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years experience in infrastructure and network management. Experience with Windows Server 2008 required. Experience in supporting development efforts 3+ years experience with SQL and MS Clustering, and Microsoft .Net a must. SQL responsibilities would include but not be limited to: Database maintenance & Availability, Backup/Restore, Job monitoring Optimization & Performance monitoring and tuning Security, Troubleshooting, Capacity Planning Storage Requirements, Identification and recommendations of hardware configurations Ensures all database environments (Development, Test, Staging, and Production) are in sync. Performs database design/modeling of new applications and database changes to existing applications. Develops and maintains documented guidelines for database security and disaster recovery. Creates, maintains, and enforces documented database standards. Serves as a technical and analytical resource.
