Greetings from *Econosoft, Inc*. We have an urgent need for a *Sr. AIX Administrator *for one of our clients *Chicago, IL*. Please go through the below requirement if you or your consultants are open for projects and interested in the below requirement ,Please respond back with latest resume along with details ASAP. *Title:* Sr. AIX Administrator *Location:* Chicago, IL *Duration:* 6+ Months *Req Details:* A Senior AIX Administrator who has 7+ years of experience with AIX 6.1 and higher. The individual will be required to maintain IBM Power servers on P750 and P870 hardware, comprising 50+ physical/virtual AIX servers. The position requires the performance of patching/upgrades, troubleshoot performance problems, and understanding PCI standards/security hardening within the OS. This position will also provide support for additional Unix OS related matters, deploy rollouts for the production applications, recommend areas of improvement, create/lead projects, have excellent communications skills and be self-motivated within the enterprise environment. Extensive knowledge of performance tuning, VIO, lpars, storage provisioning, and network configuration is required. It is a plus if there is also knowledge of Tivoly TSM backup, Linux, and VMware. The position will require on-call duties and work occasionally during weekends. *Responsibilities and Experience:* • Maintain and manage critical core business servers within the organization. • Generate scripts to perform system administration activities • Provide support for on-call duties • 7+ years managing and maintaining physical/virtual AIX operating systems; RHEL Linux and Vmware Enterprise Edition is a plus • 7+ years with architecture, design and enhancements • 7+ years with creating and maintaining associated server and application projects from start to end • 7+ years in generating or modifying scripts in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or similar languages • 3+ years in maintaining and managing Tivioli Storage Manager • 5+ years in multipathing configuration within Linux or AIX *Education, Certifications, and Skills:* • College diploma or University degree in computer science or 5 years plus experience in the related field • Certifications in system architecture, design or maintenance • Certifications in AIX administraton • Certifications in RedHat Linux administration or association Redhat services • Certification in Tivoli Storage Administration • Must have IBM AIX Operating Systems • Must be able to scripting in Shell, KornShell, Perl, C++ or like languages • Must be able to provide detail performance analysis within the server and components beyond the servers such as the network and SAN storage connectivity that is attached • Must be proficient with SAN storage connectivity and multipathing configuration/methodologies • Proficient on generating graphs using tools such as Excel or generating diagrams • Extensive knowledge on design and connectivity between the servers with various applications • Be able to install and maintain hardware within the datacenter; lifting, racking or moving equipment is required • Proficient to generate projects from start to end with minimal guidance from management • Proficient on hardening servers related to PCI compliancy • Required on-call support duties that will include weekend and night time deployments • Must be able to coordinate and function with different teams within the organization • Proactiveness and self motivation a plus *Regards,* *Ankur Gulati| Resource Manager* *Econosoft.
