Position: Java Developer
Location: Wilmington, DE
Duration: 6 to 24+ months
Description:
Participate with business representatives/users and business analysts release
manager and/or development manager in the requirements definition process.
- Review and sign-off on completed requirements documents.
- Translate business requirements into viable technical architectures database
schemas and designs.
- Implement the designs design code test deploy. Support the deployed
applications through debugging fixing and maintenance releases.
- Understand the current applications and technical architecture and provide
technical and programming support to the developers.
- Work with users contractors vendors and technical personnel to meet project
milestones.
- Stay abreast of new technology and methods to optimize development for the
enterprise.
- Have a thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and the
ability to implement software following the structured approach.
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Excellent Aptitude for learning
- Very strong organizational task management and prioritization skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
- Ability to work well with peers and all levels of management
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced dynamic environment
- 4 year degree BS Computer Science or Engineering plus minimum 4-5 years of
related experience Or Equivalent overall experience typically gained through 6
years business programming experience
- Server-side Java Development Experience
- Object-Oriented Programming
- Java J2EE Struts EJB Spring SOAP Web Services Servlets JUnit JFunc WebLogic
SQL Maven Ant JDBC JMX Unix
- Developing performance-critical applications in J2EE
- Apple Iphone Development experience a big plus
- Well versed in RDBMS technology: Oracle 9i SQL
