Position Description; We are searching for a; .Net Developer The Developer is responsible for providing expert technical design, coding, testing, implementation, advice, and support of custom and packaged software applications of the most critical and complex nature. This may include expert problem resolution, systems integrations, basic architectural guidance, and mentoring of other team members. Looking for an Expert/Senior level developer that participates/facilitates in systems analysis, technical design, implementation and maintenance of business applications for the support of Turner Broadcasting Sales, Inc. activities. Must be able to work closely with others to facilitate integration of new and existing systems and where necessary participate in a phased implementation of the new applications using standard development tools and methodologies. In addition to the ongoing responsibilities, this person should be able to participate in the research and implementation of development tools, methodology, standards, software distribution, configuration management, and release control mechanisms. This position can include the rotating responsibility of on-call support for custom applications and should be willing to be on-call and work with other team members of problem resolution. -Develop and modify complex applications using programming tools. Document all code using standard forms and procedures, adhering to all naming conventions. 40-60% -Perform analysis of customer and vendor requirements and create design specifications with time estimates for user interfaces, application enhancements, new functionality, and backend processes in collaboration with customers, Business Systems Analysts, and other project team members. Provide accurate information regarding time estimates and project status. 20-40% -Work with Quality Assurance to develop and perform unit, system, and user acceptance testing based on an understanding of the development lifecycle. 10-20% -Work with Architecture and other infrastructure groups as applicable to determine and implement system hardware requirements. -Provide both on-call and routing support for applications, utilizing monitoring tools, and respond with solutions to both functional and technical issues in a timely manner. 10-20% -Work with DBAs and other team members to ensure logical and physical data models and relationship diagrams are completed and executed according to methodology and user requirements Perform or assist in the creation of back-end databases and work with DBAs to implement a turnover plan. Identify data mappings and perform gap analysis for third party data conversions into/from Turner core systems. 10-20% -Identify opportunities for software, process, reporting, or other technology improvements and make recommendations to management. 5-15% Qualifications/Skills: Required: 5+ years, Automated unit testing (NUnit). 3+ year, Object-Relational Mapping tools. Software Development. 7+ years, .NET, C#, Winforms, ADO.Net, Visual Studio 2005. 4+ years, Relational Database, SQL, SQL Language (T-SQL, PL/SQL). 5+ years. Web Services, N-Tier, SOA. 3+ years, Object Oriented development, principles, and design. 2+ years, Source Control tools. 5+ year, Continuous Integration (MS Build, CruiseControl.NET, NAnt, NUnit), 2+ years.
