Here below are the details-: *Title:* Cognos Metadata Architect - Principal *Location* CA * *Cognos EP and BI Consultant - Job Description Key Responsibilities Document Business Requirements Gather business requirements by holding user sessions. Develop business requirements document by refining iteratively. Translate the business requirements into skeleton model ( D-Lists and Cubes ) Gather and document reporting and analytics requirements Design Determine the e-List structure and hierarchies Design skeleton EP model ( cubes, D-Links ) Identify / Design data load points and interfaces Design assumptions tables and cubes Document the models using Planning Manager Design Framework Manager models Design OLAP models Design Report Studio, reports, dashboards and ad-hoc reports Design relational metadata models Develop Develop the model prototype for user acceptance in analyst Develop all components ( cubes, D-Links, BIF’s and other calculations) Implement planning best practices ( # cells / per e_list item and other guidelines) Design the contributor application Design and developØ security ( user classes, rights ) Design access tables CreateØ contributor application Develop FM models, dashboards and reports Skills/Attributes Required/sought: 6+ years direct experience with Analyst modeling, Contributor, FM and all studios Cognos certification preferred Sound business knowledge and ability to discuss modeling in business terms with the users Expert in the designing and building of planning cubes using Analyst Sound knowledge of Cognos EP best practices Excellent communication skills Ability to hold end user requirements gathering sessions and propose modeling options Ability to understand reporting requirements and ability to design EP models with publishing and reporting requirements in mind. Familiarity with latest product features Experience in resolving performance problems in the contributor Experience/Education Required/Sought • Bachelor's degree • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. • Able to transform a set of business needs into a well formed project plan. • Develop creative yet workable solutions to difficult, complex problems.
