Senior Microstrategy Engineer
- 5+ years Microstrategy administration experience including installing,
configuring and tuning Microstrategy Intelligence and Web Servers
- Recent experience upgrading Microstrategy environment, including
metadata, servers, clients, Enterprise Manager, preferably v 8.1 to v 9.1
- Hands-on Microstrategy Architect experience, including data modeling,
working with Project Creation wizards, maintaining Schema Objects: Tables,
Attributes, Facts, Transformations, etc.
- Advanced Report Development experience, including building advanced
metrics, filters, custom groups, using OLAP services and Microstrategy
Office
- Strong SQL skills required, familiarity with at least one direct query
tool and performance tuning of complex queries (Sybase IQ and Oracle
preferred)
- Experience with SAS, Excel VBA and Microstrategy Dashboards and
Scorecards a plus
- Must be detail oriented, thorough, and with strong communication skills
to work with business users
- Microstrategy Certified Engineer preferred
Company's IT Claims department is seeking (2) Guidewire Developers for a six
(6) month contract: Mid-level and Lead/Sr. Developer,, that will be
renewable in 6 month increments. They are located in the greater Boston
area. Following is the job description for both positions:
*Our client, a global PC insurance company, currently seeks a Lead
Guidewire Developer to join their IT Claims department. The ideal candidate
will also have a high level of proficiency in Object Oriented technologies;
familiarity with UML and other OO Tools. The candidate will also have a
working knowledge of Java J2EE, JSP Web Services along with modifying XML
definitions, scripting (JavaScript, VB, etc.), understanding of relational
database concepts, and other skills involved with implementing an advanced
web application. Strong project management, testing and debugging skills are
also required.
REQUIRED:
Analyze, develop and maintain large scale Claim Center applications in a
dynamic environment.
Perform code reviews and J-Unit testing
Java development for Configurations, Rules and Integration development
utilizing Guidewire product suite like Claim Center 5.0 or 6.0, Billing
Center, Policy Center and Contact Center
Write Rules using GOSU code
Be familiar with CA Wiley CEM and Introscope
Claim Center integration
2+ years Java - J2EE, JSP, Web Services, and relational database concepts
2+ years Guidewire Product suite experience with Claims Center 5.0 or 6.0,
Billing Center, Policy Center and Contact Center
2+ years in Rule writing using GOSU code
Guidewire Billing Center certification is also desirable.*
