////NEED ONLY LOCAL CANDIDATES/// Scope / Description of Services: under the direction of the Data Warehouse Services Project Manager: Meet as necessary with functional stakeholders and IS&T staff throughout the course of this project Weekly or bi-weekly meetings may be specified. The professional may be asked to meet with larger groups. Work with assigned functional personnel, the data architect, and other technical contacts to document requirements for ETL processes and EDW data structures, review deliverables, and create an implementation plan. Develop technical specifications for ETL processes, using best-practice solutions approaches and design components. Following developed technical specifications, build and unit test Informatica ETL processes, including mappings, worklets and workflows. Processes will be designed for a one-time historic load of OSR data into the EDW, as well as ongoing, regularly-scheduled loads from new and existing data sources. Work with DBA’s to move database objects from development to QA environment. Migrate Informatica ETL processes to QA environment. Load historic OSR data into EDW tables. Modify ETL processes as needed to respond to customer comments,. resolve data quality issues, and improve performance. Deliverables would include: Documentation for all ETL processes (MS Word, Excel, Visio) DDL’s for all tables and views created as part of this project (Oracle 10.2). Developed and tested Informatica ETL processes which load data into EDW staging, fact, and dimension tables (Informatica PowerCenter 8.1.1). Required Qualifications: A sound and in-depth knowledge of data warehousing architecture, concepts and best practices. Competence in performing business requirement analysis and developing work plans. Excellent analytical and organizational skills Experience developing complex Oracle SQL statements for research, analysis, data validation, and performance testing. Experience in ETL design and development using Informatica PowerCenter, version 8. Familiarity with standard methodologies and best practices to generate high-quality, easily maintained, and efficient ETL processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong facilitation and analytical skills, with the ability to establish strong working relationships with all levels of management and staff Ability to work both independently and on a team. Proficiency using the Windows office suite. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in the field of Information Systems or the equivalent Experience with productivity tools such as Toad, Hyperion/Brio, etc. Experience in dimensional data modeling UNIX experience, including shell script development.
