*Job Title : MySQL Server DBA Location : GA* *Duration : 3+Months * *Candidates MUST have EAD, Green Card, or be US Citizens. Also, candidates MUST have MySQL Clustering experience to be considered*. *Description: *MySQL DBA (Clustering is a MUST) *MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *The MySQL DBA will be responsible and take the leading role for deploying, supporting and managing enterprise-wide MySQL Databases in production, development and test environments. The MySQL DBA tasks will work closely with the development group on database design, capacity planning, configurations, automations and implementation projects to setup and deploy the database internally and to our client sites. This person will perform all tasks needed for database administrations and will be on call for support as needed. They are also responsible for tuning database environments to ensure high qualities of service delivery are met on performance, scalability, flexibility and reliability. This DBA will also be responsible for analyzing the current environment, crafting and implementing a robust clustering solution for the needs of a dynamic business environment. They will be part of a continuous effort to architect and optimize the current environment to take advantage of new MySQL features. This DBA will evaluate new MySQL features and MySQL-related products, and make recommendations for future activities and tools. This person will also work with vendors to determine upgrade paths and will maintain the documentation for strategies, processes and standards for the database division. *EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * B.S, Degree in Computer Science, related engineering field or equivalent experience. Must have experience in the following: MySQL Database Performance Tuning, Query Optimization and MySQL Development Skills Design, implement, maintain, and support MySQL databases in a highly transactional and availability environment Design and implement MySQL cluster and replication Logical and physical database design MySQL Architecture and Internals Installation and configuration of MySQL cluster database system MySQL Database Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution skills Installing software patches and upgrades, backup/recovery, cloning and performance tuning for MySQL in cluster environment on Unix/Linux Systems Linux Perl/Unix shell scripting 7x24x365 production support Other open source databases and Oracle is very desirable *Warm Regards,* Ali Technical Recruiter ITBrainiac Inc.
