SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR ALPHARETTA, GA 6+months *SUMMARY OF POSITION:* Experienced Administrator well versed Red Hat Enterprise Linux with solid administrative knowledge of Apache and JBoss. Position requires good communications skills to work with engineering, development and other operations teams on code releases and other joint activities. *POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:* 1. Operating system, application server, & web server installation and configuration 2. Patch management including security related patching 3. Monitor servers and applications for errors and performance problems 4. Advanced scripting and automation 5. As built documentation of completed work products (e.g., server layout, kickstart packages, routing, etc.) 6. General troubleshooting of operating system, hardware, and application problems 7. Troubleshooting and diagnostics of internally developed J2EE applications 8. Support team projects through full project lifecycle 9. All other duties as assigned by Manager 1. Strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux skills in RHEL 5.x & 6.x (5+ years) 2. Experience with installation and maintenance of JBoss App server 5.0 and higher (3+ years) 3. Experience with Apache 2.0 and higher (2+ years) 4. Basic understanding of network technologies and architecture 5. Basic understanding of web technologies and architecture 6. Basic understanding of attaching to storage technologies (NFS & SAN) 7. Shell scripting (bash, ksh, PERL, sed, awk, etc) 8. Ability to work with minimal direction, yet also able to work in team environment 9. Excellent verbal and written communications skills 10. Experience with high volume web application environments (2+ million page views per day) *Experience with the following considered a plus:* 1. Dell C6100 series servers including firmware patching 2. Kickstart (Cobbler) creation and usage 3. KVM command line interface including guest creation and management 4. Familiar with Spacewalk and using it to manage server configuration 5. JBoss Open Network (JON) configuration and administration 6. Google search appliances 7.
