Specific Responsibilities

including both application middleware and performance/security monitoring

  c.. Configure and install new servers, devices and peripherals. 
  d.. Monitors and corrects hardware issues involving, disk, memory, and CPU. 
  e.. Install and configure all Unix O/S related patches and system upgrades as 
prescribed by Bank standards. 
  f.. Adhere to a strict Change Management policy to ensure timely 
notification, testing and approval for ALL system related changes that impact

  h.. Document, Draft and Maintain UNIX server procedures including but not 
limited to security, patching, standard operating procedures, server

*KEY EXPERIENCE:*

A Senior Unix Administrator to support a mission critical group. As a *Sr.
Infrastructure administrator* you would be responsible for the daily
administration of *Unix based servers running Solaris, AIX, Linux*. This
includes general *system administration tasks, software and hardware
support, system configuration, backups, system monitoring, performance
tuning and troubleshooting*.

You should be able to work with application developers, helping
trouble-shoot their applications and guide them with best practices. You
must be able to express his/her thoughts clearly and capable of working in a
team or as a sole contributor.
*System Administration - Unix based servers*. This includes monitoring the
trouble ticket queue, system trouble-shooting, hardware and software system
changes, shell scripting, system performance monitoring, system sizing,
system integration, upgrade implementation, and hardware diagnostics.
* Application support - work with application developers to help
trouble-shoot and fine-tune applications and also if required guide
application developers in best practices related to using the underlying *UNIX
infrastructure*. Prior knowledge of *MQ Series 6.0 and Weblogic
10.0*Adminstration preferred.
* Performance Tuning - performance tuning the systems to achieve optimal
performance for computational intensive applications
* Design  Architecture - Suggest and improve systems design and
architecture for both systems and applications.
