This candidate will be working with the CEO Position Summary: This position requires considerable administrative and technical coordination in a highly complex technical and organizational environment and results in systems designed to meet the corporate and campus business information and analytical needs. The resulting systems include extremely complex state of the art enterprise Decision Support Systems. Under direction of the IT Decision Support System Manager and other members of the DSS team, the incumbent is responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications used in the design, development and maintenance of the decision support systems. This includes design and development of the enterprise Decision Support System. Proposed Job Duties Data Analysis and Design a.. Act as a primary interface with the Business Partners to elicit and translate business requirements into technical specifications for the development of the data and metadata structure in the decision support systems. b.. Collaborate with the Decision Support Architect and data modelers in the translation of business requirements into a dimensional data model and related metadata. c.. Assist in source definition for the data warehouse attributes. Map attributes to source including identification and documentation of transformation algorithms as necessary. Document findings in the metadata repository. d.. Aid in the planning, build and execution of testing for the system. e.. Maintain current knowledge of automated systems, satellite systems, data relationships and system interfaces. Liaison with other system users to share knowledge. f.. Assist in mentoring other technical staff members in business processes. g.. Assist in the ongoing evaluation of data warehouse tools. h.. Maintain the developed data structures, ETL business rules, and associated metadata after initial implementation. i.. Evaluate potential expansion projects, provide technical requirements, and design for new releases as necessary. j.. Collaborate with other IT DSS team members in the development and implementation of standards, policies, and best practices in the development and maintenance of the decision support systems. k.. Provide the IT DSS Manager and the Data Warehouse Architect with status and progress reports on development and maintenance activities as required. Job Requirements · Minimum 5 years experience in data related work with at least two years as a senior data analyst for large, complex decision support systems. · Extensive experience in identifying and documenting business requirements in a data warehouse environment including use of joint application design facilitation or other requirements gather techniques. · Bachelors Degree in Information Systems or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. · Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work on cross-functional teams. · Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and complex business concepts in technical terms · Experience with IBM DataStage, QualityStage, FastTrack and Business Glossary preferred. · Extensive experience in building enterprise conceptual and logical data models, data profiling, data modeling, data mapping and metadata efforts and data quality initiatives. · Deep knowledge of best practices through relevant experience across data-related disciplines and technologies particularly for enterprise wide data architectures and data warehousing/BI Thanks & Regards Naresh Technical Recruiter Sriven Infosys INC Voice: 212-999-6251 Ext: 220 Alt: 646-644-2894 Fax: 212-658-9460 nar...@sriveninfosys.com www.sriveninfosys.com Sriven Infosys Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
