**Job Title: Business Analyst Location: Fishers,IN Duration: 6+ Months Contract The Business Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and understanding business needs and pain points, identifying solutions to meet those needs, and translating those into specific deliverable requirements. The BA will be the primary owner of project scope, and will serve as the liaison between business and technical stakeholders. Project teams will be cross-functional and may be composed of internal and/or vendor resources. Overtime may be required, on a limited basis and with prior approval. Some small amount of travel (~10%) may also be required. DUTIES: Plan and facilitate sessions to identify and document business current state, future needs, and pain points Conduct analysis activities as necessary to develop specific requirements to support business objectives Translate requirements into detailed specifications Create and secure acceptance of requirements documents Actively participate in identifying solutions to satisfy the objectives of the project Participate in project planning activities Ensure continued understanding of requirements and scope throughout project lifecycle Maintain documentation and project artifacts Assist with test planning and execution Help drive resolution to all project issues, risks, and changes Assure consistent application of all processes and methodology MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for minimum education level. EXPERIENCE: 7 years experience working as an analyst in a technical environment. Must Have: Experience with ERP Integration projects. Experience in financial, student loan, or consumer banking industries. Experience working with cross-functional teams Experience working in a vendor-outsourced environment Helpful: IIBA Certification Experience with Data Warehouse and Reporting projects Experience with application development projects Project Management experience KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES: Must Have: Knowledge of SDLC and Business Analysis methodologies Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Interviewing and meeting facilitation skills. Process modeling skills Ability to understand and integrate technical and business visions and communicate the appropriate level of detail to both technical and non-technical parties. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to provide clear recommendations based on results Outstanding time management and organization skills. Outstanding problem solving and conflict resolution skills. Competent to use the MS Office Suite in a business environment. Demonstrated ability to build constructive relationships with team members and customers. Strong business acumen, strategic insight and confidence required to anticipate, mitigate, negotiate and resolve conflicts within the project team.
