Manager is looking for an Application Developer not an architect.

Project Summary and Position Overview:
This position will carry out design and development tasks associated with
multiple Wealth Management (Retail and Capital Markets) strategic
initiatives. Projects include enhancements to existing revenue producing
products, maintenance of existing products, integration efforts focusing on
Thomson Reuters initiatives, integration with 3rd party applications or
services and new product offerings.

Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
This role will receive directions from the team lead/mentor and will have
latitude on how to perform the task. Essential day-to-day responsibilities
include performing coding assignments, unit testing, ensuring development
standards are being followed, analyzing functional specifications to
determine technical approach to software design/implementation, producing
technical specifications and unit testing scripts, and participating in team
code reviews and impact assessments.
Other duties will include; Production support and subsequent defect
research, root cause analysis and resolution. Assistance in technical and/or
system documentation may be needed to aid support teams.


Education:

College degree required

Required Skills (Must have), Necessary industry Experience & associated
number of years of experience:

Minimum 3 to 5 years experience developing software with Microsoft
Development Studios. At least 3 years experience with Microsoft .Net
development framework - focusing on C#, ASP.NET, Java Script. Other skills
include ASP.NET,  Web focused development, XML, Object Orientated Design and
Programming, Multi-Tier Application Architectures, Analysis and Design
background, sound communication and technical documentation skills.
Team player, good communications skills, works well with others and ability
to work with minimum supervision.

Desired Skills (Nice to have in addition to the Required Skills), Necessary
industry Experience & associated number of years of experience:
Optional skills: Experience with SQL Server, nUnit, Performance Engineering,
Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC), User Experience Design, Project
Management (nice to have).
Desired skills: Microsoft SilverLight and Microsoft WPF (nice to have)
