The core focus for this manager position is to lead and manage the day to day activity of the DBA team on the operations side. This client facing position will assume overall team responsibility for the management, administration, performance, reliability, integrity and security for existing databases. Coordinate with support groups and outsourcing partners providing Lev. 1 and 2 DBA support. Errors will result in failure to achieve critical organizational objectives, incur significant expenses and/or impact current and near term financial performance. *Job Responsibilities*: Responsibilities include managing a team of DBAs that are accountable for maximizing system availability, optimizing database performance through new features/technologies, and supporting DBA functions from an operational standpoint. Actively participate in database design reviews, process flow analysis, capacity management, and availability management. Set strategic vision and direction for database policies, standards on availability, replication, backup&recovery, service level agreements, baseline architectures, change management, hardware, software, security & audit.
