Project: ETL DEVELOPER (DATASTAGE) Peoplesoft
Role: ETL Developer (Datastage) for the PeopleSoft DW project.
Start: Next week
Length: 6 month assignment*
*Description:*
*Function as an ETL Developer as part of the University Data Warehouse +
project:*
*·* Work closely with the Clients analysts to understand the
additional design specifications.
*·* Create new or modify existing ETL jobs in Ascential
DataStage per design specifications.
*· * Document all code changes and adhere and follow development
standards.
*· * Unit test all customizations that are done, assist in
migration efforts and knowledge transfer to Clients staff of changes made.
*·* Work closely with the testing team to help validate and
ensure the customizations are performing according to specifications.
*· * Conduct some level of performance tuning as needed,
chunking, or other possible tuning efforts as needed.
*· * Being detailed oriented is a must, obtain sign off from the
appropriate leads and ability to stay organized and reporting status will
be required.
*· * Work closely with the technical team to understand the
different design and possible data model to understand what and how testing
needs to be done.
*·* Working directly with developers to ensure that functional
and technical specifications for customizations meet business requirements.
*Musts: *
*· * Experience with PeopleSoft EPM/ IBM DataStage (8.1) or data
warehouse is required
*· * There is a strong preference for candidates with previous
PeopleSoft EPM experience
*· * Experience working on implementation project teams,
*· * Multiple full lifecycle implementation projects.
*·* Expert knowledge of PeopleSoft data structures,
configuration and setup designs, and business processes within the
ETL/EPM/OBIEE modules and strong understanding of
tables/record definitions and ability to write and understand SQL is
required.
