Full Name : Location : Contact Number : Email : Availability : Visa Status : Requirement details: Technical Business System Analyst Location: Columbus, OH Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: A Technical Business Systems Analyst acts as a subject matter expert to satisfy the needs of business partners, technical architects, project managers, software developers, and quality assurance. This role is responsible for understanding and documenting high level solution designs and detailed functional designs, then applying that knowledge to guide product managers in the creation of business requirements, and developers and testers through the software development lifecycle. Applicants for this position must be able to communicate at multiple levels of technical detail, such as clarifying requirements with business partners, validating system designs with architects, and discussing specific implementations with software developers. Applicants must be able to extract business rules and functional behavior from existing systems written primarily in Java. A thorough understanding of large scale software development methodologies is required, including both waterfall and agile. The applicant must have excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, in order to collect and collate inputs, and document and convey solutions. Responsibility includes: · Develop functional documentation which fully describes the current structure of the system, along with impacts to the system resulting from proposed changes. · Work with business partners to validate, clarify, and normalize business requirements. · Interact with solution architects to validate current system design, and how proposed solutions affect that design in order to fulfill the stated requirements. · Validate functional documentation with all partners, business, architecture, development and QA. · Guide development and QA through the process of converting functional analysis into software solutions and software test plans. · Support production level issues by leveraging in depth knowledge of system functionality. Qualifications: · 5 years of experience in large scale software development environment required. · Hands on experience with one or more programming languages required. knowledge of *Java*. Experience as a software developer preferred. · Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle, both waterfall and agile methodologies. · Experience documenting system design, such as the creation of use cases, sequence diagrams, class diagrams, etc. Knowledge of UML a plus. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. · Experience with business needs analysis, documenting requirements, managing the requirement development process, and translating user requirements into technical initiatives. · Basic understanding of the company's business practices and familiarity with the company's wholesale products and services.
