*Work Locations : Tallahassee, Florida* *Anticipated Start Date: Begin ASAP*** *Length of Contract : Initially 1 Year with extensions.* *Project Description : Network Engineer* *Required Duties and Responsibilities of Contractor Include:* - Provide after hours support - Manage and lead the effort to troubleshoot and resolve unplanned outages in a timely manner. - Work with vendors and other state agencies to resolve complex network problems. - Document problem and resolution for future use. - Identify changes or additions needed to the current architecture to best support current and future network infrastructure needs - Perform authorized system maintenance as needed. - Monitor network performance and analyze logs as required. - Maintains and updates system documentation and diagrams as needed. - Performs other related duties as required * * *Must complete and submit the following Skills Matrix with your # of years experience along with Resume *** *Consultant Skills Matrix* *Required Experience for Network Engineer, Provided by Contractor, Shall Include:*** *# Years Experience*** - Ability to solve problems, both technically and operationally. - Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP - Knowledge of WLAN networking including enterprise class security - Ability to communicate technical information verbally and in writing - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others, as well as work unsupervised when needed - Able to teach and share technical knowledge - Prioritizes and performs a variety of concurrent tasks with minimal direction or supervision. *Preferred Experience:*** * * - Four years experience in managing networks (LANs/WANs/WLANs). - Hands on experience with network infrastructure (switches, routers, firewalls, and other related devices) Nortel experience a plus. - Telephony experience a plus but not required. *The above template must be completed!*** * * *Must complete and submit the following references template along with Resume and skills matrix.
