*Position Summary:*

Our client is an internationally recognized healthcare technology firm
located in Norwalk, CT and has turned to Sound Advice to help them identify,
qualify and present qualified individual for this critical position (see
below). **

QA Analyst is accountable to work on projects related to the product
solution focused in the areas of automated inpatient facility claim
processing, professional claim processing, payment and medical policy
management.

* *

*Key Responsibilities: *

§         Participate as team member using agile/SCRUM methodology.

§         Participate in sprint planning activities as needed.

§         Accomplish tasks on time.

§         Report progress to the team and management.

§         Make the Scrum Master aware of any obstacles that may impede them
from accomplishing their goals for the current Sprint or associated work.

§         Participate in sprint retrospective activities as needed.

§         Interact and effectively communicate frequently with other
analysts, project teams, product management, project management, clinicians,
developers, architects, and end users.

§         Develops test approach for the products.

§         Creates, maintains, and executes product test procedures, test
specifications and test plans.

§         Ensures proper test coverage for all items contained in the test
specifications.

§         Analyzes test results and recommends improvements.

§         Creates and executes test scripts and test cases and performs
testing tasks.

§         Designs and creates data sets consistent with test specifications
and test procedures.

§         Logs and track defects identified through testing and monitors
through resolution.

§         Participates in process improvement efforts and applicable product
requirements inspections.

§         Participates in business and functional requirements workgroups
and design sessions as part of sprint team.

§         Ensures appropriate feedback is provided to Business Analysts for
development of requirements that are testable.

§         Ensures complete test coverage of requirements by creating and
maintaining appropriate methods of traceability.

§         May include resolution of interpersonal conflict.

§         Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all
levels throughout the organization.

§         Ability to learn new technologies and platforms using
self-directed techniques and training materials provided.

§         Can formulate and execute own exercises to master applications and
prepare diagnostic questions to leverage time of subject matter experts.

§         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to
significant amounts of change in work assignments and priorities.

§         Demonstrate the company values of Integrity, Customer focus,
Accountability, Respect and Excellence (ICARE) at all times.

*Experience required:*

§         Minimum of 5 to 7 years software quality assurance experience

§         Strong experience in all types of software testing including
black/white box testing, integration, system and acceptance testing.

§         Test automation experience is a plus.

§         Experience in agile lifecycle models and testing approaches
strongly desired

§         Experience in executing batch testing for transaction-based
applications

§         *Proficient in writing and executing Test Plan, Test Cases,
Reporting and Tracking Defects.*

§         *Proficient knowledge and experience in database and testing tools
to provide QA support for every phase of SDLC.*

§         Expertise in Windows-based applications

§         Working knowledge of two or more of the following platforms is
highly desirable:  Mainframe (CICS, IMS, AS400), UNIX (RS6000, HP9000, Sun
Solaris), Alpha

§         Healthcare, Clinical, Code Auditing or Payor experience strongly
desired
