*Position: Orcale DBA*
*Location: Bakersfield,CA*
*Duration: 6+months CONTRACT*

Requisition Details:

 The Database Administrator may be responsible for
 Providing Oracle database administration, application tuning, database
security and production support
 Installing, upgrading and maintaining Oracle databases
 Planning and executing database backup and recovery
 Providing database tuning for performance and stability
 Managing physical database design and implementation, database security
implementation and monitoring
 Using Phillips66 change management processes to prevent production
disruptions and outages
 Researching and recommending solutions that best meet business needs and
Enterprise operational requirements
 Partnering with other Phillips66 IT organizations to ensure quality
support and delivery to the end-user.
 This position participates in an on-call rotation with other DBAs to
provide 24X7 coverage

Basic Requirements
 Legally authorized to work in the United States
 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Three years of direct DBA experience working with Oracle
 Five years of direct IT experience providing server support, database
support or application programming
 Ability and willingness to perform tasks outside normal business hours and
on weekends as well as carry an on call pager for at least one week every 6
to 8 weeks

Preferred Requirements
 Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS or other ITIS related major
 Excellent oral and written communication skills
 Expert diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem solving for Oracle
 Ability to work effectively across time zones and geography
 Self-directed and self-motivated to solve problems quickly and creatively
 Ability to work effectively in a team environment to encourage
collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
 Applications support experience
 Infrastructure support and design experience
 Proficiency with Oracle on AIX, Linux andor Solaris platforms
 Experience with Oracle on Windows
 Experience with Oracle in the following areas
 Data Guard
 RMAN Backups
 Grid Control
 Experience in performance tuning
