Please reply at *chris.br...@panzersolutions.com*<chris.br...@panzersolutions.com> Position : Solaris Systems Admin Location : MINNEAPOLIS, MN Duration :12 Months Contract Interview Immediate *Must-haves :* 8+ years of Systems Administration experience Strong background with Sun Solaris Servers Solid working knowledge of SSH protocol, passphrases, Private and Public SSH keys Ideally has experience with supporting Solaris versions 2.6, 2.8, and 5.10 Proficiency in networking, static and dynamic routes Ability to read and edit shell scripts: SH, KSH *Plusses* Experience with Redhat Linux BASH, PERL Scripting experience (or ability to read for troubleshooting) Understanding of how to support LDAP, Radius, and Kerberos user authentication ZFS on Solaris experience Understanding of Windows workstations and software to troubleshoot access issues to Unix servers (i.e. SecureCRT, hyperterm, X11 Windows server applications running on a PC) Networking/Telecommunications knowledge (i.e. 7 Layers of OSI networking model, SNMP, DSL technology) *Day-to-Day* Using Disk Suite or Logical Volume Manager (Sun) to add/remove disks, mirroring, and replacing disks Add/remove users and troubleshoot user logins Review and edit shell scripts Projects replacing hard drives and migrating over to larger drives Work with technical teams to format and set up new drives, move data to new drives, etc. Participate in projects to migrate servers from Solaris to Linux Responsible for daily support and server administration.
