Job Description

The Business Analyst will employ User-Centered Analysis techniques
(Interviews, direct observations, requirement work sessions, etc) to
understand business needs and clearly define the Requirements for IT
applications. This resource will work closely with other team leads
(Project Managers, User Experience Designers, Front-end Developers,
Back-end Developers, and QA Testers) to translate those Requirements into
optimal solution designs. This role is critical to the overall success of
business strategy, LOE estimates and resource allocation; greater thought
and thoroughness put into the initial requirements phase of the project
exponentially reduces the cost and amount of time spent rebuilding and
testing (due to preventable rework) down the road.

Responsibilities include:

•           Participate in development of systems design emphasizing the
search requirements of the application

•           Expertise in Lucene and/or SOLR, and related search frameworks

•           Coding and designing the search elements of the application

•           Perform unit testing and fixes during testing Phase

•           Document coding and testing efforts

•           Apply industry best practices and follow departmental standards
for development

•           Create/document deployment and operational procedures

•           All documentation regarding system design

•           Use cases and misuse cases for handoff to QA team
