*Rate: $55/HR* *Duration: One Year* This position offers the opportunity to lead technology development in an exciting and challenging environment on a multibillion dollar website that attracts millions of users a daily and is crucial to the profitability of American Airlines. Manages technical delivery in a fast paced organization that is focused on growing the AA.com in areas such as personalization, internationalization and scalability. Collaborates with a large group of peers to solve complex technical problems. Works with a breadth of technology and frameworks including AJAX and Spring utilizing state of the art tools such as Parasoft Jtest and Anthill Pro. Works closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Business Analysts to develop optimal solutions for complex business problems. Displays ability to work and communicate equally well with developers, architects, project managers, business and QA analysts. Able to mentor the technical team on complex technical project issues. Candidate must have broad knowledge and experience with the core technologies used to render web sites and web applications. Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis/ Object Oriented Design methodologies and life cycles. Demonstrates hands-on expertise in J2EE technologies, specifically, servlets, EJBs, JMS, JDBC. Investigates and resolves problems on software products and systems. Identifies areas for code improvement and refactors code. Participates in requirements review sessions. Responsible for project estimation process. Performs peer code reviews and prepares system documentation. Two years of Agile Development experience Four years minimum experience in software development industry.
