Position Overview:

    The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for planning,
design, document and execution of test plans/scripts across all stages of
the software development lifecycle. This position will be based is US and
require working with the offshore team and vendor outside of the country
and may include travel to other offices across North America.



    Responsibilities

v  Ability to apply quality principles, theories, and techniques to various
projects

v  Ability to work with people across functional areas and organizations
such as business analyst, developments, project managers, management, and
internal and external customers and vendors

v  Under minimal direction of management, performs quality control duties

v  Design and development of detailed test plan (s)/test case (s) and then
integrate them with the project schedule

v  Analyze, interpret, and summarize test data and metrics, and communicate
the results to project team, stakeholders, and management

v  Prepare testing estimates for proposed application releases

v  Ability to work with the offshore testing team lead and team members and
provide directions, delegate work, and guide the team

v  Champion and applies the risk-based testing approach

v  Provides input to, or participates in, process improvement

v  Empowers self to make effective and efficient decisions

v  Capable of prioritizing tasks according to assigned risk

v  Solves intermediate-level issues in the best interest of the organization

v  Responsible for own project-related deadlines

v  Ability to manage multiple projects

v  Consistently demonstrates strong team and individual performance

v  Build positive and effective relationships with individuals both
internal and external to the organization

v  Embodies of personal code of conduct and leads by example

v  At manager’s discretion, perform other non-specified tasks as assigned

v  Able to provide testing support during project and maintenance releases

v  Able to travel 10 – 20% of time



Qualifications

v  Four year Bachelor degree, preferably in an analytical or
technical-related field or equivalent work experience

v  Insurance industry knowledge strongly preferred (Property & Casualty –
Underwriting, Finance, and Claims)- must

v  A minimum of 5 – 8 years of overall experience in the SDLC with hands-on
exposure to design, coding and testing

v  Strong testing experience preferred, including Test Management, Manual
Tools and Test Processes

v  Effective written and oral communication skills as well as strong
interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively to a wide
variety of audiences including software development teams, technical
support, end-users, and management, etc.

v  Effective organization and time management skills

v  Strong technical aptitude. Must be able to identify, analyze and solve
problems.

v  Practical and knowledge and experience in all phases of test management
and release management processes and systems

v  Strong bias for action and passion for taking initiative, accepting
personal responsibility to deliver on commitments, having the courage to
raise issues and proactively working to resolve issues and remove barriers
in a timely manner

v  Exposure to SQL programming and database technologies (SQL Server or
Oracle)

v  Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

v  Exposure to XML/XSLT/XMLSchema/XQuery

v  Exposure to Data Warehouse testing and Business Intelligence Cognos
reports

v  Exposure to Conversion testing

v  Exposure to the HP/Mercury Suite of testing tools or other test
management/automation tools

v  CSTE or equivalent certification preferred

v  Ability to display endurance and capacity for a fast paced work
environment

v  Ability to see a big picture and pay attention to details
