He/she will oversee the file transfer from Mainframe to AIX. · The resource will need a strong understanding of both Mainframe and AIX systems. Thousands of files will be transferred from Mainframe to AIX and this person will be managing/directing the file transfer. · Experience should be 2+ years on OS/390, AIX & Shell Scripting. Experience with FilePort/DMExpress, FTP, Informatica, and DB2/UDB a plus. · Define the scope and schedule of the data migration. Ensure that prerequisite and implementation requirements are met. · Oversee organizational resources who support and execute the migration. Specify storage requirement needs for the new environment. · Assess the impact on operations and provide a detailed migration timeline in accordance with a specified schedule. · Ensure that current data backup and archiving policies exist in the new environment. · Assess network bandwidth and availability for migration activities. · Assist with installation, configuration and operation of data migration tools.
