MS Viso and Balsamiq or Adobe Illustrator


*Description:*Business analyst's role requires working with project
leaders, engineers and product managers to define product features and
create user interface (UI) specifications. The user experience team (of
which the BA is part of) creates the broad vision for the product and
concepts for specific portions of the product. Part of the BA's job is to
detail out the concepts created and provide enough information for the
development team to create the software. Another aspect of the job is to
gather high level requirements for features and create concepts. The BA is
then required to gather consensus for these concepts and then create
detailed UI specifications.
The next major responsibility of the BA is to work with engineers/software
developers/quality assurance and other stakeholders to review the UI
specification, explain the user interface and resolve their queries.
Sometimes the
developers might be offshore (India) and the BA should co-ordinate the
review process efficiently. The BA is also required to work with graphics
designers and communicate visual design aspects to the development team.

*Ideal Candidate:*
1. Comfortable with tools like MS Visio, Balsamiq etc. Adobe Illustrator
skills are nice to have but not required.
2. Familiarity/experience in mobile technologies and current web
technologies is strongly desired.
3. Strong communication skills Ability to work with different teams and
drive consensus.
4. UX bent empathy towards people who use the system and fight for their
ease of use.
5. Thorough think from a developer's perspective and get most of the
cases/scenarios specified before it reaches development.
*Bachelor's degree required
