Duration : 6 months *Sr. AIX Level3 consultant, IBM AIX Servers, HACMP or Veritas Cluster, Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager.* Responsibilities :- v Adhering to SLAs v ITIL Processes awareness and adhering to v Mentoring / Training Team Members v Handling tickets / requests v Perform root cause analysis v Troubleshooting technical issues v Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to v Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration v Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA v Understanding of Multi-geo support environment v Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment v Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for failure scenario v Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction v Suggests new technologies and design changes v Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members v Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24x7 operation support v Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level v Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time v Identify Skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating v Assist / Plan / Procedure in Data centre consolidation efforts v Perform H/W & performance tuning and maintenance v Day-to-Day reporting tasks v Vendor co-ordination & followup Technical Requirements v Installing, configuring and maintaining IBM AIX Servers v Installation and configuration of HA environment using HACMP or Veritas Cluster. v Configuration and administration of Logical volume manager / Veritas Voume Manager. v Patch and Package administration v Printer Administration v Writing shell scripts to acomplish day to day system administration task v Configuring and supporting Domains, LPARs, DLPARs v Administer & configure various FS like JFS, VxFS, Pseudo FS v Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue v Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance v Understanding of SAN and NAS storage. v Administration of NIS or LDAP environment v Configuring Unix Security baseline v Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue v Performance Management & fine tuning v Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning Soft Skills v Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) v Good documentation skills v Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio) v Should have a great customer handling skills v Able to handle unforeseen situations v High level of acceptance v Can drive HCL's value and its methodology Other Skills / Experience v Worked on Production systems v Datacenter understanding v Experience with Server Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching v Experience on following will be added advantage v Samba v DNS v NIM v Sendmail v LDAP v Monitoring Tools (like BMC Patrol, HP openview, IBM Tivoli) Thanks & Regards, *Raghavendra Gaddam*, Agile Enterprise Solutions Inc Phone: 630-242-6423 Ext: 221 !!
