System and web security: years Responsibilities As a Production Support Manager, this position will be responsible to monitor and enhance the production environment and provide 24x7 system support. This position will lead the team to define strategic solution to ensure 100% uptime. 1. Provides leadership for all release and supporting functions of the applications 2. Monitors all application systems and performance metrics of the application and create a culture of continuous improvement and maturity 3. Creatively provide technical solution to complex business problem 4. Employ monitoring toolsets to proactively discover issues that affect application service levels 5. Identify and apply remediation strategies to address application incidents prior to client impacts 6. Facilitate the immediate restoration of application services during outages (i.e., “incident management"), and drive retrospective root cause analysis and supporting long term remediation efforts (i.e., “problem management") 7. Ability to respond promptly to production issues and alerts 24x7 8. Work with hardware/software/cloud vendors 9. Meet or exceed partners’ SLAs Requirements: 1. 4+ years of experience in managing a production support team for high-traffic software application 2. 10+ years experience in hands-on production administration of large system 3. BS/MS or equivalent in computer science or electrical engineering 4. Capable of working well in a collaborative environment 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills 6. Efficient in writing scripts and must be extremely 7. Hands on with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss and comfortable using and navigating within a Linux environment 8. Thorough understanding of web technologies and technology stack 9. Ability to articulate a problem succinctly and to recommend both short and long term solutions 10. Comfortable operating in fast paced environment 11. Understands performance issues, scaling options, and performance tuning 12. Understands business continuity, fault tolerant design, and fail-over architecture 13.
