Required Experience/Profile: · 5+ years experience with linux/unix systems administrations. Experience with CentOS a plus · Thorough understanding of configuration management concepts a must · Experience working with a modern configuration management tool such as Chef or Puppet a plus · Proficient knowledge of virtualization technologies · Experience with application clustering / load balancing concepts and technologies · Understanding of protocols/technologies like HTTP, SSL, LDAP, JDBC, Servlet/JSP, SQL, HTML, XML · Administering systems in a major Cloud a strong plus (preferably Softlayer) · Clear written and verbal communication Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): · Migrate multiple applications from IBM to Softlayer using Rackware. · Troubleshoot complex technical issues at any/all level of the application technology stack. · Rebuild and maintain Development file systems; including password changes, disabling application sockets and other environmental considerations to ensure the Production file system is protected.
