Job: Informatica Developer Location: Irvine, CA Duration: 6+ Months Contract *Job Description*: The successful candidate needs to be able to work well in a fast paced collaborative environment with previous Agile (Scrum) methodology experience preferred. The candidate needs to be a self-starter who can work independently without direct supervision who is also team oriented and solution minded and able to communicate well with various team members, management and staff. The candidate needs to have top notch verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills The successful candidate will be participating on a data integration effort and converting from SSIS to Informatica. This person will be extracting raw data from third party vendors and will be responsible to perform data extraction, cleansing, validating, de-duping, profiling the data and correcting syntax errors. Ideally, the candidate should be experienced in creating mappings, sessions, creating workflows, developing common objects and scheduling using Informatica. The candidate needs to have experience in extracting sources from flat files, excel files, and various legacy systems and databases. The candidate needs to be able to develop Informatica solutions following best practices and create technical documentation. •The candidate also needs to be experienced in data integration and data feed initiatives. •The candidate needs to be proficient in all transformations in Informatica Version 9.X. The successful candidate also has to familiar with Data Quality and Data Profiler. •The successful candidate needs to have previous experience working with small to large scale data sources. •The consultant must very strong ANSI SQL experience and has worked with various RDBMS such as SQL Server preferred or Oracle, DB2, Sybase, Netezza, or Teradata. •The resource should also be able to perform unit testing, integrating testing, and other validation in the data integration solution. •The candidate needs to have excellent knowledge transfer skills and also document process flow documentation. *Position responsibilities*: •Develop and maintain the data integration framework and its ETL/ETL packages using Data Integration Technologies, including Informatica, Netezza, and SSIS. Assist in the design of the framework as needed. •Install update, maintain, monitor and support Data Integration Technologies (including Informatica, Netezza, SSIS). •Create and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views and constraints to support systems and databases. •Develop queries and stored procedures involving complex database structures. •Review the requirements to assess and estimate the work effort. •Create test plans and scenarios for development unit testing and data validation. •Work with peers to carry out design and code reviews of new development. •Document new design, development procedures or test plans as needed.
