*JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *
Development of ETL solutions using MS SSIS 2008
Development of ETL logging & auditing processes
Analyze and understand business processes within legacy systems
Consolidate up to 20 legacy systems into one unified reporting environment
Write efficient processes and stored procedures
Optimize and tune SSIS packages for performance
Development of data marts
Investigate issues with ETL processing to determine the source of data
issues
* **JOB REQUIREMENTS:*
BS or equivalent and 5 years of work experience in computer sciences or
related field, or equivalent combination with demonstrated progressive
levels of responsibility, experience and leadership.
Experience as a programmer, analyst, programmer/analyst, software engineer,
systems designer or other IT discipline, including proven successful
participation on at least one significant project.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of SQL Server 2008, SSIS 2008, SSRS 2008
Applied understanding of:
- Functionality of SQL 2008 tools
- Change Data Capture (CDC) – Can be learned on the job
- SQL Compression – Can be learned on the job
Minimum 3 years experience w/RDBMS, specifically SQL Server 2005 - 2008
Minimum 3 years developing ETL processes using MS SSIS
Experience in a multi-server, multi-database environment
Experience working with large data sets
Expertise with stored procedures, views and user defined functions
Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse experience
Healthcare and health insurance background a plus
*PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS*
Ability to work in a traditional professional office setting.
Ability to sit at computer terminal for extended periods of time.
Operate personal computer equipment.
Occasional overnight travel, in most cases by air.
Work schedule determined by project schedules
Weekend work often required
May be required to work on the page/call rotation.
