Fixed Income Oracle database and batch processes. The Database Development Lead will contribute to all aspects of the design and development of the data models, schema design, data extraction and transformation, all database development. The DB development lead will also interface with Bond OMS program manager. *Primary Responsibilities* - Work with a cross-functional team of Trading, Application Developers, and Business Analysts in a matrixed organization and deliver the best solution to meet Fixed Income Bond OMS platform features and functionality - Responsible for understanding, articulating, documenting and presenting DB requirements (both business and technical) - Analyze and profile current data; prepare logical and physical data models based on the requirements. Make decisions on appropriate usage of E-R models and/or dimensional models - Apply best practices to come up with DB designs to meet or exceed business needs. Including but not limited to physical databases, schemas, table structures, indices, data marts, program structure, batch processing, performance, etc. - Develop database code using PL/SQL, SQL, Informatica ETL tools on Oracle - Communicate with project leads and management - Manage status reporting and problem escalation to project and database technology stakeholders where appropriate - Identify project risks, create risk management / mitigation / transfer plans and implement plans to contain the project risk *Qualifications*** *Education and Experience* - Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or MS preferred - Experience in fixed income Trading and large-scale Trading system development essential, with good understanding of unique chellenges in the data modeling, data collection and maintainance of OLTP data - Experience in Trading vendor solutions (e.g., Bloomberg AIM, Charles River, etc.) highly desirable - Experience in Agile methodology is a plus *Skills and Knowledge* - Proficiency in PL/SQL, Oracle, Informatica and UNIX shell scripting. Experience with Perl programming and Autosys job scheduler is strongly desired. A working knowledge of programming languages (Java/C++) is a plus - Proficiency in OLTP, data warehous design & management and reporting - Strong analytical skills, with a proven track record on delivering large technology projects essential - Strong interpersonal, relationship management, facilitation and communication skills Thanks & Regards... ...
