PM type person as they would not need to know deep architecture or deep technical skills to execute storage operations process, just has to know the process and ensure it flows, drive outage calls and escalations. Someone with technical skills and PM skills would be good – however, they will NOT be “pulling levers and pushing buttons”. The description from the customer is “technical lead” that can drive direction to the storage ops team without having any HR responsibility.
