Job Title: Oracle SOA Architect with BPEL, ODI, OSB Location: Portland, OR Duration: 6 Months Billing Rate: $ALAP/hr. Summary Working as a member of the Enterprise Applications development team, will be engaged in development, maintenance and support of an Oracle ERP system as well as an Enterprise Oracle SOA solution (BPEL, ODI, OSB) and associated interfaces. This individual will participate in design and development of components, services, standards and processes that will consist of project engagements across the ERP System and integrate with an Enterprise Service Bus. Responsibilities Demonstrate solid understanding of Oracle Applications development tools and methodologies, with the ability to understand, analyze, and solve problems. Strong experience (minimum of 3 years) with some or all of the following technologies: JAVA, J2EE, XSTL, XML, XSD, JMS, SOA and/or Web Services. Hands on experience on the core Oracle SOA Suite components - BPEL, ESB (OSB), OWSM, BAM, ODI etc Mentor colleagues in best practices for architecture design, development and standard toolsets used. Partner with application infrastructure groups to tune and troubleshoot applications within the Enterprise Software Platforms. Work with other application support team members to troubleshoot issues and ensure operational readiness as it relates to integration with upstream and downstream systems. Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture teams on recommendations and changes in service/integration best practices, processes and frameworks. Orchestrate alternative technology solutions for business requirements. Recognize and promptly advise management of potential problems and or potential follow-on business opportunities. Keep current with new products / technologies Oracle and Non-Oracle software provides for continuous improvement in Applications Architecture Operates with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions in determining the technical direction of projects Advance knowledge of Oracle applications Rel 11.5.10 technical architecture and business flow and ability to carry out technical upgrade for custom code during system wide upgrade. Extended work hours when necessary to meet deadlines Travel: up to 10% Experience and Education BS or BA in computer science, business, or equivalent required. 8+ years of experience utilizing Oracle development technologies such as 8+ PLSQL, SQL Plus, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, OA Framework along e-Business Suite AOL familiarity. Excellent knowledge in one or more of Oracle's core modules (CRM, HRMS and Financials) Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware tools (XML Gateway, XML Publisher, BPEL Process Manager, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Portal 10g) Source control and version control for change management. Qualifications Problem solving skills and demonstrate strong working knowledge of using Oracle Support Strong influencing skills and ability to interact business functions Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent writing skills, with ability to express technical knowledge, procedures and processes in clear, orderly and easily understood presentation.
