Ideally someone coming out of a .NET environment doing the Quality Control work in a MMIS (Medicaid Medicare Information System). Certifications: Required: American Society for Quality designation as a Certified Software Quality Engineer Desired: Certified Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute Position Description: The Software Quality Control Specialist reviews all program specifications, code and test results to ensure Nebraska MMIS software quality requirements are fulfilled. Specific duties include: . Proactively lead the development, communication and maintenance of the governing quality standards and documents for the project in conjunction with the Assist the PQMO Manager and Planning and Communications Manager. . Create or enhance design, component specification and other templates as needed. . Review design and component specifications in accordance with the governing quality documents. . Lead design reviews and document design review attendance and results. . Review program code in accordance with the governing quality documents. . Lead code reviews and document code review attendance and results. . Review all program test plans and scripts to ensure proper test coverage and compliance with the governing quality documents. . Coordinate the software process quality documentation required by the governing quality documents. . Review and assist in the confirmation of requirements / capability completeness of software per the design documents. . Perform other duties as assigned by the PQMO Manager and the Planning and Communications Manager. Specific Skills Required: a.. Two years experience as on a software development team as a developer using .NET, BizTalk or SharePoint. b.. Two years experience using the Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server tools. c.. Two years experience in software configuration management, formal design and code reviews, process documentation and measurement and quality audits. d.. Two years experience on the quality team of a project or organization using a formal quality assurance methodology such as ISO 9000 or CMMI.
