Job Description:
Oracle Business Intelligence Developer*
looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Consultant who can implement
(OBIEE 11g, BI Apps 7.9.6), understand and resolve business user issues and
lead on-going reporting initiatives. Working closely with Business users
and other IT resources, the Oracle Business Intelligence Developer will use
out of the box and customized OBIEE functionality to meet requirements
using best business Data Warehouse practices.
*Roles & Responsibilities*
•Providing technical support and development using SDLC within Oracle
Business Intelligence (OBIEE 11g, OBI Apps 7.9.6 specifically Financial
Apps)
•Developing data warehouse and business intelligence metadata
•Facilitating design sessions; collaborate with IT staff, and key business
sponsors to identify and recommend solutions, translating functional
requirements into design specifications
•Working with source system application developers, functional
representatives, and other technical contacts within IT, design, develop,
and unit test ETL and DAC processes
•Acting as a lead analyst in the design of new architectural components,
reconciling development activity to the EDW/BI architecture roadmap and
leveraging the efforts of technical team members and architects
•Establishing best practices for the design, development and support of
OBIEE and BI Apps Informatica/DAC processes
•Monitoring and take appropriate action to maintain integrity of the data
warehouse databases, including security and privacy issues
•Production support on-call activities
•Demonstrating commitment to customer service to provide responsive and
effective support, develop solid working relationships with customers, and
deliver high quality value-added services that meet or exceed customer
expectations
*Knowledge, Skill and Competency Requirements*
•Demonstrable expertise in the design of Data Warehouse and Business
Intelligence architectures (including OBIEE 11g preferably)
•Proven knowledge configuring Oracle BI Applications for Oracle EBS
•Expertise in Informatica PowerCenter 8/9, including mapping, session, and
workflow design and development using PowerCenter
•Understanding of Oracle R12 EBS data structure
•Thorough knowledge of Oracle Business Intelligence Apps 7.9.x
•Comprehensive understanding of migration techniques for OBIEE components
into various test and production environments
•Ability to develop extensions/customizations within Oracle’s BI
Applications product line
•Sound, in-depth knowledge of data warehousing/business intelligence best
practices, architecture, ETL, and business intelligence tool
•Proficiency with SQL specifically with Oracle databases
•Ability to assess business requirements and design appropriate Data
Warehouse solutions
•In depth Oracle/Siebel DAC 10.1.x knowledge, including process creation,
configuration, execution, customizations, and troubleshooting
