Experienced in SQL*Plus commands. Practical experience with Oracle database (9i, 10g, 11g). Familiarity with data dictionaries (e.g. all_tab_columns, v$ views, etc.) Proficient in the code tuning and optimization Familiarity with development tools such as TOAD, PL/SQL Developer, SQL Navigator. SQL* loader Aid in the creation of installation and deployment documentation *Plusses* Unix Kornshell Scripting *Day-to-Day* This individual will be working within a small development team and will be assisting with program changes that need to be made to existing code as the company navigates through a large scale separation of assets. Candidates should be comfortable working with "home grown" PL/SQL applications rather than Oracle Forms and Reports or previous work with Oracle suite applications. The qualified candidate should be able to efficiently develop Oracle code that runs at optimal performance and can utilize hints, cost-based optimizers, and optimal table join method practices. They will also be aiding in the creation of installation and deployment documentation. The programmer/developer will be responsible for hands on work roughly 90% of the time, opposite of 10% involving requirement gathering and working with current business processes.
