Responsible for responding to research requests and implementing new customers or new features in existing print-on-demand implementations. Essential Duties/Tasks: Develops client implementations according to specified business rules where appropriate. Performs daily, weekly, and monthly production runs. Specific activities include production monitoring, troubleshooting, and file processing where required. Performs tri-annual production run tasks including mofifying implementations according to new business rules, producing files and/or scripts, and monitoring process. Performs other ad hoc production tasks such as, modifying scripts and/or web sites, building new files, etc as needed. Participates in re-engineering effort for production team including but not limited to: building new automation, documenting existing and future processes, tool research and other activities as required. Provides 3rd tier support for client services in the form of research and queries. Works toward zero-defects in all production work. Knowledge of Industry, Product, and Technology: 5 years experience with SQL queries 5+ yrs of exp in scripting in Perl 2 years experience with Windows OS and Oracle 10g Good working knowledge of XML. Familiarity with web application technologies such as HTML, ASP, .NET / C#, and IIS in Windows environments is a plus. Education and other Qualifications BA/BS in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of experience in software development, technical operations, or IT. Good communication capabilities. Excellent attention to detail. Drive to understand how things work.
