Please reply at chris.br...@panzersolutions.com *Position : Security Engineer Location : Itasca, IL Duration : 3 months Contract to Hire* USC,GC,EAD Only *Must-haves* Expert level experience as a Security Engineer (no less than 5 years) Well rounded, hands-on security experience including but not limited to; Web proxy, vulnerability scanners, anti-virus, encryption, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), intrusion detection systems (IDS), firewalls (CISCO ASA) Implementation experience preferred!! Experience and knowledge of security practices (ISO 27001, NIST or Cobit) Experience in an enterprise level environment of at least 4-5,000 users! Deep technical expertise with Microsoft Windows desktop and server Strong networking background, including the ability to analyze firewall rules Bachelors or 4-year Technical degree (or equivalent business experience) *Plusses * Experience working with offshore teams CISSP, CISA or GIAC certification Understanding of secure application design principles, such as the OWASP top 10 *Role *This person is being brought in to give additional help to a small security team within a large insurance brokerage and risk management services firm. The team is in the early stages of implementing a DLP system, and their role will be to set up, install, configure, tune and troubleshoot the system. Other projects that are lined up are: Removable media encryption Database encryption initiative Implement Host Intrusion Prevention 2 Factor Authentication They will collaborate with IT staff at many levels and within many organizations and lead ad hoc teams as necessary. They will apply appropriate mitigation and controls based on level of risk, and participate in the planning and implementation of effective defenses against IT security breaches and vulnerability issues. They will perform security assessments on existing systems developing and administering security and data privacy policies, activities and standards, and technical administration of ! security tools. They will serve as the subject matter expert in security and system design.
